چکیده

Fuzzy graph language recognizability is introduced along the lines of the established theory of syntactic graph language recognizability by virtue of the algebraic structure of magmoids. The main closure properties of the corresponding class are investigated and several interesting examples of fuzzy graph languages are examined.

2-recognizability of the simple groups $B_n(3)$ and $C_n(3)$ by prime graph

Let $G$ be a finite group and let $GK(G)$ be the prime graph of $G$. We assume that $ngeqslant 5 $ is an odd number. In this paper, we show that the simple groups $B_n(3)$ and $C_n(3)$ are 2-recognizable by their prime graphs. As consequences of the result, the characterizability of the groups $B_n(3)$ and $C_n(3)$ by their spectra and by the set of orders of maximal abelian subgroups are ...

The recognizability of sets of graphs is a robust property

Once the set of finite graphs is equipped with an algebra structure (arising from the definition of operations that generalize the concatenation of words), one can define the notion of a recognizable set of graphs in terms of finite congruences. Applications to the construction of efficient algorithms and to the theory of context-free sets of graphs follow naturally. The class of recognizable s...

On the Logical Definability of Certain Graph and Poset Languages

We show that it is equivalent, for certain sets of finite graphs, to be definable in CMS (counting monadic second-order, a natural extension of monoadic second-order logic), and to be recognizable in an algebraic framework induced by the notion of modular decomposition of a finite graph. More precisely, we consider the set F∞ of composition operations on graphs which occur in the modular decomp...

Fly-automata, model-checking and recognizability

The Recognizability Theorem states that if a set of finite graphs is definable by a monadic second-order (MSO) sentence, then it is recognizable with respect to the graph algebra upon which the definition of clique-width is based. Recognizability is an algebraic notion, defined in terms of congruences that can also be formulated by means of finite automata on the terms that describe the conside...

Layered Transducing Term Rewriting System and Its Recognizability Preserving Property

A term rewriting system which effectively preserves recognizability (EPR-TRS) has good mathematical properties. In this paper, a new subclass of TRSs, layered transducing TRSs (LT-TRSs) is defined and its recognizability preserving property is discussed. The class of LT-TRSs contains some EPRTRSs, e.g., {f(x) → f(g(x))} which do not belong to any of the known decidable subclasses of EPR-TRSs. B...
